1,200 people decide where your song gets placed. Here is how they find you.
There are about 1,200 active music supervisors in the world. They pick the music for film, TV, ads, runway shows, and video games. Over 1,000 of them receive music through one platform: DISCO.
Claudia Campos Jugo, Account Executive at DISCO, walked our community through the platform from the inside. The full replay is live, free to watch with a 24/7 account.
What is inside the replay
How supervisors find music on DISCO, and which part of that you control
Why you only upload the songs you can clear, not your whole catalog
Nesting your instrumental, clean, explicit, acapella, and stems under one track
The metadata supervisors read first: ownership, one-stop status, and your contact info
Cold-pitch rules: who to email, how many songs to send, and how long to wait
Micro-syncs: what brands are paying independent artists for a handful of songs
Two rules from Claudia you can use today
1. If they ask for 4 songs, send 4. Not 20. Put the brief title in your playlist name and write one short note that says exactly what you are submitting for. Supervisors get hundreds of songs per brief. Make yours the easy one.
2. Make your song easy to clear. Log every writer and producer split, get a pre-agreement with your collaborators so one of you can say yes, and mark the track One Stop or Easy Clear. If a supervisor has to call five people, they will pick another song.

The song was not even in his top ten
Three years into Mannywellz's first publishing deal, less than a quarter of the advance had recouped. Then Carnival Cruises licensed a song that sits near the bottom of his Spotify popularity list, because it had a tropical feel. That one sync covered the entire recoupable, led to a bigger deal, and has renewed three times since.
Yudu tells the full story at the end of the replay, along with his first sync: an NBA ad that closed in two days.
Try DISCO free for two weeks
Claudia set up a two-week trial for the 24/7 community. Unlimited storage, auto-tagging, and three playlist templates are included on the artist plan. Start with your five strongest, fully clearable songs. Not thirty.
Sessions like this happen live every Monday on the 24/7 Pro coaching call. Watch the replay first, then come ask your questions live.

Yes, that Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He has a newsletter on beehiiv. So do Codie Sanchez, Jay Shetty, David Begnaud, Colin & Samir, and Joanna Stern.
They could publish just about anywhere. They chose beehiiv to build a direct connection with the people who want to hear from them most. And you can do the same, whether you’re world-famous or just at the start of your plan for world domination.
